Grasshopper Tennis

Room 3 have really enjoyed playing tennis in Term 1 and they have learnt a lot of new skills.

 

In tennis last week we played baseball tennis.It is like this. You have about 12 players. One of them has a racket. The other team has a captain and he has a ball. The captain throws the ball and you have to hit it. If you get the ball into the net that is a strike 1. When the other team has got the ball you run. If you get a home run you get a point. If you get it to the captain he throws it and you run to the cone. If he throws it before you get to the cone you are out. My favourite part was getting the home run.

Hi my name is Naomi. I'm talking about tennis. We did a special trick. If you spin round and round the ball will stay on the racket. We hit the ball but you have to hit it the right way. That's the hard part. We did some bouncingthe ball with the racket. My favourite part was the special spin around thing.

Last week we played tennis. At tennis we did spinning around with the tennis racket and the tennis ball. The tennis ball ball was on the tennis racket. If the ball falls of the racket you have to pick it up. I had a partner and it was Tania. She has black hair an dshe is a Year 4.

On Tuesdays we play tennis. It is really fun. I like tennis because you get to learn. It is good to do tennis, you get lots of energy.
